Look to Jesus
Instead look to Jesus, and you will always see your need for improvement and your constant need for a Savior. For we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
Abide in his Love!

True Meaning of the 12 Days of Christmas
During the 16th century’s religious wars in England, many believers were not able to practice their faith openly, so they had to find other ways to pass on their beliefs. The song
The Twelve Days of Christmas is one example of how they did it. It was a mnemonic device to teach Christian beliefs to youngsters. The song goes, “On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me…” The “true love” mentioned in the song is not an earthly suitor, but refers to God Himself. Each of the items in the song represents something of religious significance.
The partridge in a pear tree
Was Jesus Christ who died on a “tree” as a gift from God.
Two Turtle doves
Were the Old and New Testaments, another gift from God.
Three French hens
Represented faith, hope, and love, three gifts mentioned In 1 Corinthians 13.
Four calling birds
Were the four Gospels that sing the song of Salvation through Jesus Christ.
Five golden rings
Were the first five books of the Bible, also called The Books of Moses or the Pentateuch.
Six geese a-laying
Were the six days of Creation.
Seven swans a ‘swimming
Were the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit found in Romans 12:6-8
Eight maids a ‘milking
Were the eight Beatitudes
Nine ladies dancing
Were nine fruits of the Holy Spirit from Galatians 5:22,23
Ten Lords a ‘leaping
Were the Ten Commandments
Eleven pipers piping
Were the 11 faithful disciples
Twelve drummers drumming
Were the twelve points of the Apostles Creed.
Thus, when they sang The Twelve Days of Christmas, they were teaching their faith and the unbelieving world had no clue as to what they were doing!
